Project No. 31: Creating Smart Cane For Blind People

Image
1. Introduction:   In today’s fast-paced world, mobility and independence are essential for individuals with visual impairments. To address the challenges faced by blind individuals in navigating their surroundings, we present a Smart Stick designed to provide obstacle detection and navigation assistance. By integrating infrared (IR) sensors, an ultrasonic sensor, a buzzer, a red LED, and a vibrator motor, our system aims to enhance the mobility and safety of blind individuals while also catering to the needs of those who are deaf or hard of hearing.  The primary objective of our project is to develop a reliable and user-friendly Smart Stick that offers real-time obstacle detection and situational awareness. By utilizing an Arduino board and strategically placing two IR sensors at the front of the stick, we can detect objects within close proximity. An ultrasonic sensor positioned horizontally between the IR sensors allows for measuring distances to objects in the user’s path. The Smar

Project No. 30: Creating an Alcohol Detection Machine

1. Introduction:   Impaired driving due to alcohol consumption remains a critical concern, posing a significant threat to road safety. To address this issue, we present an Alcohol Detection System designed to detect the presence of alcohol and raise awareness about the risks of impaired driving. By utilizing an Arduino board, an alcohol sensor module, and incorporating visual and audible indicators such as a red LED and a buzzer, our system aims to promote responsible driving practices and prevent accidents caused by alcohol impairment. 2. Working:  Step1: Hardware Setup : Connect the alcohol sensor module to the Arduino board following the provided pinout or wiring diagram.  Wire the red LED and buzzer to the appropriate digital pins on the Arduino. Step2: Sensor Data Calibration:  Calibrate the alcohol sensor module according to the manufacturer’s instructions to ensure accurate detection.  Adjust the sensitivity of the sensor to the desired threshold for detecting the presence of al
