Project No. 30: Creating an Alcohol Detection Machine
1. Introduction:
Impaired driving due to alcohol consumption
remains a critical concern, posing a significant threat to road safety. To
address this issue, we present an Alcohol Detection System designed to detect
the presence of alcohol and raise awareness about the risks of impaired
driving. By utilizing an Arduino board, an alcohol sensor module, and
incorporating visual and audible indicators such as a red LED and a buzzer, our
system aims to promote responsible driving practices and prevent accidents
caused by alcohol impairment.

2. Working:
Step1: Hardware Setup:

according to the manufacturer’s instructions to ensure accurate detection. Adjust the sensitivity of the sensor
to the desired threshold for detecting the presence of alcohol.
Step3: Data Acquisition and processing: Program the Arduino to read data from
the alcohol sensor module at regular intervals. Retrieve the sensor readings, which
indicate the presence or absence of alcohol.
Step4: Alcohol Detection Algorithm: Develop an algorithm that analyzes
the sensor readings to determine if alcohol is present.
Set a predefined threshold for
alcohol detection based on the sensor’s output.
Step5: Visual and Auditable Indicator: Write code to control the red LED and
buzzer based on the algorithm’s output. If alcohol is detected, activate the
red LED to provide a visual warning and activate the buzzer to emit an audible alarm
