Project No. 07: Creating a Smart Water Level Detection System with Display

1. Introduction:

The Smart Water Tank Monitoring System is an innovative project aimed at providing real-time monitoring and feedback for water levels in a tank. With the help of an Arduino microcontroller, an ultrasonic sensor, a buzzer, and a display, this system offers an efficient and convenient way to keep track of water levels and ensure timely actions.

The primary objective of this project is to address the challenge of water management by providing users with accurate information about the current water level in a tank. By using an ultrasonic sensor, the system can measure the distance between the sensor and the water surface, enabling the estimation of the water level within the tank.

To enhance user interaction and awareness, a display module is integrated into the system. It shows the water level in percentage, allowing users to easily monitor the current fill status of the tank. Additionally, a buzzer is employed to provide audio feedback or alerts based on predefined thresholds or specific events, such as water reaching critical levels.

2. Working:

Step1: Initialization
Power on the system and ensure all components are connected properly. Initialize the Arduino board and set up the necessary pin modes for the ultrasonic sensor, buzzer, and display.

Step2: Ultrasonic Sensor for Water Level Detection:
The ultrasonic sensor continuously measures the distance between the sensor and the water surface in the tank. Convert the distance measurement obtained from the sensor into a corresponding water level value using appropriate calculations or mapping techniques. Update the water level value for further processing and feedback.

Step3: Display for Water Level Percentage:
Set up the display module to show the water level percentage. Calculate the percentage value based on the water level reading obtained from the ultrasonic sensor and the tank’s capacity. Update the display with the current water level percentage, providing a visual representation of the fill status of the tank.

Step4: Buzzer for Feedback and Alert:
Define specific water level thresholds or events that require an alert or feedback. Compare the current water level reading with the predefined thresholds or conditions. If the water level exceeds a certain threshold or triggers a specific event, activate the buzzer to provide audio feedback or alerts.
Adjust the frequency, duration, or pattern of the buzzer sound to indicate different water level conditions or warnings.

Step5: User Interaction and Monitoring:
Users can observe the water level percentage displayed on the module, allowing for easy monitoring of the tank’s fill status. If the buzzer sounds, users are alerted to critical water levels or specific events that require attention, such as low or high levels.
Users can take necessary actions based on the displayed information and audible alerts, such as refilling the tank or investigating potential leaks

3. What is Ultrasonic sensor?

An ultrasonic sensor module is a device that uses ultrasonic waves to measure distances and detect objects in its vicinity. It consists of an ultrasonic transducer, which emits ultrasonic waves, and a receiver that detects the waves after they bounce off objects. The module typically includes additional circuitry and components to facilitate its operation.

4. Things that you will get with models:

1. Detailed Model
2. Well soldered circuits

5. Project price:

You can buy this project at price 1600 Rs.

You can also customize your project according to your requirement as below:

The price of this projects depend on the component used in the model, for example in the above model the component used is:

1. Arduino UNO
2. Ultrasonic sensor
3. Battery for power supply
4. LED and resistance
5. Buzzer
6. LCD display
7. Connecting wire
8. other small components

There are some other optional component available that you can remove or add it to the model according to your need, so the price of the project will decrease or increase according to price of component according to price of component and coding for example:

1. Without LCD display:
You can also remove LCD display from the project, with this component the price of project is 1300 Rs

3. With GSM module :
You can add GSM module to get notification in you phone after the water tank get full, with this component the price of project is 1760 Rs.

4. With LCD display and GSM module both:
You can use both key pad and  display for making you project more convenient to use and user friendly and to make the project impressive, with these components the price of project is 2000 Rs.

In summery, you can tell us what functionalities and components that you want to add or remove from the model, so the price will change accordingly. If you have any question related to this project then contact me:  click here
